A response may describe an association that was valid in the past. Do not treat every listed name as the confirmed current user. Establish what the record describes and whether it has a time context.
Multiple matches
When records disagree, do not simply choose the most convenient one. Compare independent details and record provenance. Repeated rows may originate from one source and are not necessarily separate confirmations.
An empty response
No result does not establish that a number is nonexistent or safe. Format, search limitations or missing records may explain it. Correct identified errors and avoid conclusions based on one empty query.
